Job description

The Senior Supervisor, QC Microbiology role is responsible for leading and managing the Quality Control Microbiology laboratory within a cGMP manufacturing environment. The position oversees daily laboratory operations including environmental monitoring and microbiological testing, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality systems. The role includes managing the full employee lifecycle such as hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of QC staff. The candidate acts as both a technical subject matter expert and people leader, reviewing and approving analytical data, ensuring proper execution of test methods, and guiding OOS/OOT investigations, CAPA implementation, and deviation handling. Additionally, the role involves ensuring GMP compliance, participating in regulatory audits and inspections, identifying system gaps, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting validation and multi-site quality projects to maintain high standards of product safety and quality.
